Organizational behavior
Organizational behavior is the study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups and structure have on behavior within organizations, for the purpose of applying such knowledge toward improving an organizationТs effectiveness. It has come out into view from the disciplines of psychology, sociology, political science and economics, although itТs primarily recognized as related with psychology. Simply put, organizational behavior is studying the behavior of individuals and groups within organizations.
The field of organization behavior has been historically focused on behavior and attributes of individuals and groups with less attention to the organization aspects of the subject. Depending on how we perceive organizational behavior, here are three points we have to take into consideration:
Emphasis on interesting behavior: Organizational behavior is the concourse of individual, group and organizational studies fluxing from industrial organizational psychology and organization and management theory that is central to the task of organizing. This aims to focus on organizing that is directed to process and eliminates those simply related to the key issue that are not of central importance.
Emphasis on organizational behavior: This concerns all elements of human accomplishments in an organization -- how the derived behavioral observations, analysis of concepts and methods rather theories are being applied generally in organizations.
Emphasis on organizing: This deals with coordinating tasks that require an extraordinary level or degree of reciprocal relationship. This is something more focused on the behavior of organizing. This is likely more on developing an organized system to address how people handle situations on how to align goals and how to coordinate the action.
Systematically, organizational behavior is looking into work relationships and attempting to attribute the causes and the effects in drawing out conclusions that provides a means to predict behaviors.
